Dr. Holloway's Comments:

Identifying Characteristics: Possession sometimes reflects obsessive thinking, or being “taken over” by worry or negativity.

This rather simple dream presents a profound lesson. The magic bullet in a dream, (the thing that averts crisis or gets us out of trouble), may suggest an attitude or strategy we should remember in waking life. While there is nothing as powerful as spiritual faith, dreams also remind us to think positively, to remember to believe in ourselves, to forgive the past, or to take action on our own behalf. If you have a dream of crisis, you are likely to remember the dramatic problem and focus upon how weird, or how real it seemed when you awaken. In addition, consider the “prescription” or the solution you used, and ask yourself if it translates into a touchstone or implication about how to tackle your current challenges. Often a relatively minor shift in focus, or a more balanced approach may result in large improvements in circumstance, without being impractical, risky or disruptive to implement.
