Dream of the Month (March 2001)
Dr. Holloway's Comments:
Identifying Characteristics: Physical wounds in dreams tend to represent psychological and emotional wounds of varying levels of intensity.
You've recently discovered that some part of life that has been "a pain" for you also contains the seeds for some interesting discoveries. The wound on the right shoulder may represent your work activities, which you had "tagged" in a certain light. If this is so, then you probably underestimated your potential for fulfillment in your present situation, because the ear of corn represents completion, success and a surprise that is "ripe" for you. This dream also implies the reason why the situation aggravated you in the first place: (The bones of the wing represent bone-deep creative and expressive impulses.)
It appears there isn't so much something wrong with your "day job" as there is an imbalance in the way you're expressing the deeper parts of your mind and spirit. Once you're experiencing a regular flow of creativity and self-expression (the green plant in your left wrist), your life will ring true, instead of feeling out of whack.
By marrying practical effort (shouldering what you need to), with outlets for expression, you may well astonish yourself and others by what you accomplish, and by what flows out of you.
